Belwood Lake is tucked between the charming town of Fergus and the quaint village of Belwood.
The lake was created in 1942 with the construction of the Shand Dam which was erected for flood control, hydro power, and water conservation purposes.
Belwood Lake is now home to about 350 lucky seasonal cottagers.
